Motorola Moto G Pure

Overview:

The Motorola Moto G Pure is being placed at the bottom of Motorola’s cell phone offerings as one of their cheapest smartphones. For the price, one would think this is a good deal, but with a weak processor and constant slowdowns and bugs, this phone is not worth the price paid.

The Motorola Moto G Pure comes with a 13 MP camera, 32gb of internal storage, MediaTek Helio G25 processor and 3gb of RAM. While the price of the smartphone is reasonable and the specs seem adequate, the number of shortcomings with this model easily outweigh the very limited positives.

Honest Review

I was very disappointed when I reviewed this model, because after having used the Motorola Moto G Fast for a few years, using the Moto G Pure was a huge step down. For the price comparison between the Moto G Fast and the G Pure, the difference is quite small with the Moto G Fast being slightly more expensive. However, in terms of quality and general use there is a big discrepancy.

This may be in large part due to the weaker processor and the limited RAM, but that should be no excuse when marketing a smartphone. While the initial tests were good, after brief use and minimal apps being downloaded and used the phone began to slow down and must even be restarted when trying to make phone calls, as the calls would end up not even going through. The camera quality is also poor even though it has been listed as 13MP and with the abysmal storage capacity taking and storing photos becomes very hard with apps taking most of the storage space.

The only positive with this model is that it comes with a fingerprint reader for easily being able to login (if the processor can even handle it) and that it is able to run Android 11. I would not recommend this smartphone to anyone, not even as a first phone, by spending a bit more there are better Motorola options, and even better smartphones on the market.
