Honest Review

FujiFilm Instax mini-Evo is a great camera, and in a day and age where everyone takes photos on their phones, it is great to see companies making devices that cater to those wishing to experience or re-experience the joys of using a physical standalone camera. Not only is the mini-Evo the perfect blend of old and new, but with a slew of amazing features it is one of the best polaroid cameras offered by FujiFilm.

Gone are the days of wasting film on pictures you don’t like, thanks to the digital nature of the camera, photos are saved and then can be selected to be printed. This is amazing as the film can become quite costly, and getting to choose which photos get printed is amazing.

The mini-Evo is an overall amazing camera, and with 10 integrated films effects in the lense, the possibilities are endless and while that all seems amazing and great, it does come at a great cost, that being the price of the camera and the film. While I absolutely love what the camera does as it blends new and old school photography with the lever style printing and the retro look – it is ultimately quite a steep price to pay.

In the end, I do believe the price is justified and for the great build quality, design and functionality it will surely be used more than the traditional phone camera and become a staple when traveling!
