Overview:
Another remake of a classic horror game, although did this one really need a remake? Or was it great in its original form? Well like it or not Resident Evil 4 is the latest game in the series to receive a remake, following the well-received Resident Evil 2 remake and the decent Resident Evil 3 remake, this remake takes the top spot as it brings together new and old fans of the series and takes the player back to Leon, one of the main protagonists of Resident Evil 2. The player joins Leon on his adventure to save the President’s daughter from the clutches of a parasite infected cult.

Honest Review
Resident Evil 4 is one of, if not the most beloved installments in the series. While the remake was a very welcome surprise, many do believe that while the original game had its flaws it was not in need of a remake or remaster in comparison to other entries in the series.
However, I am very glad for this remake, as it is extremely well done. From the level and enemy design to the gameplay everything is smooth, calculated and controlled to perfection. The sense of dread, duty and scares are amazing and thanks to the improved pacing the game feels perfect to play and even though it is not as long as the other entries, I easily found myself wanting to play again to achieve the elusive S+ rank. Alongside the release of the game was the DLC and the VR mode which is amazing!
