Overview:
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag while slated as the fourth game in the series is the sixth. This however does not make it any less deserving of being touted as the greatest game in the series and franchise to date by many fans.
The story follows pirate Edward Kenway and his attempt to build a proper life for himself and his wife in the Caribbean, however it doesn’t go to plan when he comes face to face with an Assassin who tries to take his life. Edward is thus thrust into a world of secrets and betrayal as he takes the place of the now deceased Assassin.
What he cannot account for is the long-standing feud he has inserted himself into, and how much he will have to sacrifice and change to get out of it.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag was the first Ubisoft game that had me hooked even after the main story had ended. Collecting all the hidden secrets, crafting upgrades for my gear and even just sailing the seas was a blast even after a nearly 20-hour campaign experience.
Black Flag was and still is in my opinion the best Assassin’s Creed game ever released, it took the best parts of the previous games and dialed them up to eleven. The naval combat was a great improvement over that in AC3 (Assassin’s Creed 3) and the social stealth sections, visceral combat and over the top action sequences were just great, encapsulating the growth of the series.
Pirates, Pirates, and you guessed it more Pirates. The best part about AC4 (Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag) is the ability to play as a pirate, so far in the series all protagonists have had a strong moral compass, Edward is quite different, he is motivated by greed. This is a common theme throughout the game and often results in more conflicts for Edward, it is ultimately what allows him to change, and without too many spoilers – it makes him understand that sometimes you must look out for more than yourself.
