Overview
J.R.R Tolkien is best known for his Lord of the Rings novels and the subsequent film adaptations, but the one story that is sometimes left to the side is the prequel tale of Bilbo Baggins, the uncle of Frodo (one of the members of the fellowship in the Lord of the Rings) and his journey to become more than a hobbit living a peaceful and complacent life as well as help the Dwarves reclaim their homeland from a mighty dragon. The quality of Tolken’s writing is amazing, and the amount of detail put into the characters carries the story to new levels. Not only allowing the reader to feel the emotions of the character but to understand why they make the choices they make.

Honest Review
The Lord of the Rings will always be a classic, right up there with Star Wars and Harry Potter. These stories transport the reader to faraway lands where fantasy and the ideas of adventure are commonplace. These stories elicit many different emotions in the reader and the Hobbit is once such tale. The story of a lonely and complacent Hobbit just waiting for a chance to become more than he has ever known.
This large print hardcover edition of the story is amazing, with illustrations littered among the text, it’s almost as if the story is jumping off the page! Not only is the print in hardcover, but with a larger size font, it is significantly easier to read than the other pocket-sized editions of the novel. My only complaint with the print edition is the edition of the “Now a motion picture” sticker printed onto what was an amazing cover. Not only does it take away from the appeal of the novel but also ruins what would have been a perfect edition, there is a remedy however as the sticker is only on the outer cover, and the book itself is plain.
