Motorola G Fast

Overview:

The Motorola G Fast is the better version of the Moto G Pure. Even though the Moto G Pure was released after the G Fast, the slightly more expensive model (G Fast) is host to a multitude of upgrades over the newer iteration model.

With a 6.4” IPS LCD display, up to 2 days of battery life, a 16MP camera and a much faster and stronger processor, it is quite surprising in how little this upgrade costs over the cheaper Moto G Pure.

Honest Review

After owning and using the Moto G Fast, I can safely say it is superior to the Moto G Pure in every sense. The most notable is the charging speed, with a USB-C charging cable compared to the micro-USB, the charge times have decreased significantly and while both offer the same 4000mAh battery it seems that the Moto G Fast’s battery drains at the same rate as that of the Moto G Pure.

The processor used in the phone is also vastly improved over the one used in the Moto G Pure, and while the RAM (3gb) may be the same in both models, the improved power of the processor makes using the Moto G Fast a great experience. It can run multiple apps at the same time, with little to no slowdown and with a 16 MP camera, the pictures taken are clear and sharpened with additional effects via Motorola’s internal programming technology and tools.

While I do not recommend getting the Moto G Pure in any instance, I do recommend the Moto G Fast as a cheap smartphone alternative. While it may not be able to compete with the likes of Google, Samsung, and Apple, for the price of the phone and the quality of apps and external features it has, this is great for those on a budget or would like a starter smartphone.
